Curfew, measures and demarcation

15 January 2021

Curfew

We are pleased to announce that fishermen will be able to stay inside their cabins during the curfew between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m.

IMPORTANT! People who do not think they can follow this instruction will have to leave their cabin and be at their home by 8 p.m.

It should be noted that any person who is outside his residence or what takes its place such as his fishing hut during the curfew is de facto deemed to have committed an offense and it is their responsibility to demonstrate that they are part of the exceptions included in the decree on pain of a fine ranging from $ 1,000 to $ 6,000 plus costs.

Measurements and boundaries

The first ice measurements for the Grande-Baie ice village have arrived!

The average effective ice thickness over the entire site is 11 inches.

The demarcation of this village will therefore begin this Sunday, January 17.

Measures for the village of Anse-à-Benjamin are underway this Friday, January 15.

As soon as the results are available, they will be communicated.
