Your perception of salmon will change completely after your visit to the Salmon Fishway, where you will find information and everything you need to fish for salmon and sea trout.

In the Salmon Interpretation Centre, visitors enter into the world of salmon and sea-going trout and learn all about the life cycle and ecology of these incredible species. You may observe fish in the fish ladder and ask questions of our highly-trained naturalists.

For fishing enthusiasts, this is a river not to be missed.

Bec-Scie Outdoor Centre

Looking for an outdoor activity in Saguenay? Let yourself be charmed by the enchanting trails at Bec-Scie where you will discover breathtaking landscapes such as the Rivière-à-Mars canyon. Have a memorable experience alone, with friends and family, on foot or by mountain bike!
When Bec-Scie is covered with a blanket of white, come and visit one of the most beautiful cross-country and snowshoeing centers in Quebec, with marked trails and shelters. The area is a staging ground for snowmobilers, and the reception room is available all year round for private events and activities.

Ice fishing

Campground Au jardin de mon Père

Located along the Rivière-à-Mars, between Chicoutimi and the Lower Saguenay, the campground Au jardin de mon Père is an enchanting site in the heart of the city of Saguenay. Offering 174 campsites of which 80% are reserved for tourists, camping Au Jardin de mon père has an excellent reputation among campers, both local and out-of-region.
