Guided Fishing

Discover the world of fly fishing with an experienced guide! Salmon fishing is a very technical sport and the advice of an expert will ensure that your first experience will be successful. Instruction can be given in pairs. Treat yourself to one of the best fishing experiences in the Saguenay!

Minimum age: 12 years.
Reservation required 48 hours in advance.

Half-day fishing

For $100 (tax included), includes:

  • 4 hours fishing with a guide
  • All necessary equipment (boots, pole, reel and 2 flies)
  • basic provincial salmon fishing license

Visit to the Fishway

The Rivière-à-Mars fishway is the best place to learn about the Atlantic salmon and sea trout in the Saguenay. Visit the level ladder which allows salmon arriving from the ocean to bypass the dam to spawn!

There you will find:

  • An observatory with porthole where you can see the fish swimming up the ladder;
  •  transport cage used to transport broodstock to inaccessible areas;
  • A screen showing live images from the underwater camera installed in the river;
  • Information on Atlantic salmon and sea trout;
  • Picnic tables with magnificent views of the Rivière-à-Mars

You might even have the chance to see one of our happy fishermen with his catch.

Fishing for native speckled trout.

Fishing holes 80-92, the wildest part of the river, are home to native speckled trout. The area is easily accessible by the main road of the Mars-Moulin ZEC (Controlled Exploitation Zone). Come and fish for trout in a beautiful corner of the Saguenay.

  • fly fishing only;
  • provincial fishing license required;
  • $20 (tax included) per person for one day;
  • maximum 10 fishermen per day;
  • maximum 15 trout per fisherman;
  • Right of way on the ZEC per vehicle at the users expense;
