Accreditations and recognitions
Contact Nature had the honour of being a finalist in the Collective Entrepreneurship category at the 2025 Dubuc Awards of the Saguenay–Le Fjord Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Contact Nature has received the Biosphere certification for demonstrating compliance with the actions of Biosphere Sustainable, aligned with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals of the United Nations 2030 Agenda. The organization engaged its employees in a shared project and was positively recognized by its clients.

Contact Nature has committed to a low-carbon approach and finances the purchase of Gold Standard-certified carbon credits representing 800 tonnes of GHG emissions through the Fonds plein air 1% for the Planet.
The GHG inventory and carbon credit purchases are carried out in partnership with Planetair. The choice of Gold Standard-certified credits reflects our desire to prioritize GHG reduction projects and support North-South solidarity within a framework of climate justice.

Since June 2019, Contact Nature’s divisions have been accredited in Ecotourism by Aventure Écotourisme Québec (AEQ). Indeed, responsible tourism is an integral part of our values.

We are proud to have held the Quality-Safety accreditation from Aventure Écotourisme Québec (AEQ) for all our activities since the summer of 2018!

In March 2021, we participated in the eco-responsible certification program “Les pages vertes.” We are proud to have now reached the third and final level – eco-responsible excellence – with a score of 80%. Contact Nature continues its efforts to increase this percentage.

Contact Nature has implemented a rigorous monitoring system with 15 indicators and a funding strategy for the restoration of natural environments. This innovative approach to tourism allows our company to target the right actions to implement and continually improve the process to achieve real positive outcomes.

On Thursday, November 3, 2021, the 2021 Outdoor Excellence Awards Gala by Aventure Écotourisme Québec took place. Contact Nature emerged as the winner in the Best Environmental Practices category.

At the 2021 Economic Merit Gala of the Saguenay–Le Fjord Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Contact Nature was named the winner in the Service category.

On Thursday, December 17, 2020, the virtual 2020 Outdoor Excellence Awards Gala by Aventure Écotourisme Québec took place. Contact Nature emerged as the winner in the Innovation in Crisis Situations category.

Contact Nature proudly participates in the international collective 1% FOR THE PLANET and donates 1% of its revenue to the Fonds Plein Air 1% for the Planet.

Contact Nature has reached level 5 of the Saint-Laurent Challenge, a program aimed at reducing the consumption of plastic products.

Contact Nature is proud to be certified Leave No Trace a program that encourages responsible outdoor practices to minimize our environmental impact. This certification reflects our commitment to protecting natural environments and raising awareness among visitors about the importance of leaving as little trace as possible during their outdoor activities.

Since July 2018, Contact Nature has held the Social Economy Business Certification from Essor 02.
We are proud to consistently have numerous projects that meet the needs of the community.

The Bec-Scie Outdoor Center campsite and the Au jardin de mon père campsite are officially Vaolo certified.
This certification highlights the sustainable benefits and contributions of accommodations to the community, both socially, economically, and environmentally.

By offering free recreational activities, Contact Nature is one of 106 organizations that have improved the quality of life and social participation for over 3,100 citizens.

At the 15th edition of the 2019 Economic Merit Gala by the Saguenay–Le Fjord Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Contact Nature was named the winner in the Tourism Business category.

The Au jardin de mon père campsite received the Today’s Builder – Lussier Dale Parizeau recognition in 2021 and 2019 for its investments in various improvements to the campsite, including the addition of a water play area, the construction of a sanitary block, the development of a fishing pond, and the enhancement of the electrical network.

In 2012, the Au jardin de mon père campsite won the Dubuc Award in the Business category at the Economic Merit Gala of the Saguenay–Le Fjord Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
