Fancy a day or an evening of ice fishing? Okwari Le Fjord offers you its cabins installed on the Saguenay Fjord for rent! Choice of groundfish or smelt fishing. If you’re not sure between the two, we offer the option of adding a small groundfish cabin to your Smelt cabin rental.

Clothing required: Warm boots, insulated socks and underwear, mittens, toques and scarves or neck warmers. On the ice, it can be very cold and there can be high winds. Better too much than not enough!
Discovery of an Ice Village
Each winter, hundreds of fishing cabins set up on the Saguenay Fjord at La Baie, transforming the Baie de Ha! Ha! in real villages on ice: Anse-à-Benjamin and Grande-Baie. These ephemeral villages form one of the largest ice fishing sites in the world. This is a unique event not to be missed.
During this activity, you will have the opportunity to learn about the different species of fish found in the fjord, the historical development of ice fishing on the fjord, the functioning of an ice village and more. again. You will also be able to meet people passionate about ice fishing.
